A warm welcome

Daisy International Scandinavian Pre-school is for 1.5-5 year olds located on a quiet, easily accessible street in Ntinda, Kampala. The kindergarten is founded and led by Ann-Cathrine Steffensen from Denmark, who has 8 years of teaching experience in her Nordic home country.

We value a group of children of great diversity, as we believe that the pre-school must reflect the environment of which it is a part. That is why our staff is skilled in meeting all religions, nationalities and special, individual needs.

The Scandinavian touch at Daisy shows in the place's view of children. As in Scandinavian day care institutions, play is the focal point, and there is a focus on the importance of play for your child's learning and development. Your child learns to express him-/herself creatively and collaborate with others. We also emphasize mutual respect between children and adults.

With us, you will not find lessons as you know them from school, but structured activities where your child learns through playing with others at the same stage of development. As your child approaches school age, we will practice schooling.

We place a high value on parents' voices, and together with us you will help shape Daisy International Scandinavian Pre-school into a wonderful and educational place to be a child.
